About the WTO Public Forum
The WTO Public Forum is an annual event at the WTO Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, where governments, non-governmental organizations, academics, businesses and students are given the opportunity to gather and discuss issues regarding the multilateral trading system.
The theme for the 2010 WTO Public Forum is "The Forces Shaping World Trade". A variety of sessions will take place during the week, covering topics such as reshaping the global economy, hunger crisis, climate change and various other human rights topics. There are also a variety of sessions regarding the WTO and the current international trade environment.
Of most interest to Dairy Farmers of Canada, of course, are the sessions regarding agriculture production, food security and agricultural trade policy.
